Paint the Bryson Boulder for your students' special event! There is only one ticket/reservation per day, so be sure to get your reservation for your special day(s) before they are gone! All dates are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!
The ticket/reservation you purchase is good for date listed on the ticket, for 24 hours. The Bryson Boulder is available for you to paint starting at 4:00pm the day prior to the date you purchase and will remain as you painted it until 4:00 pm for the date of the ticket purchased. It is a good idea to buy a day before and/or after the date you want in order to ensure your message or picture is seen. This is specifically helpful for rain, weekends, or people who unfortunately paint the rock too early on top of your masterpiece. Please note that an additional day (whether before or after) must be purchased to ensure multiple days.
If you decide that you do not want your date, you can offer it to another family; however, the Bryson PTA will not offer refunds for any reserved dates. There will be no refunds for inclement weather, as it is out of our control.
Families must furnish their own labor, paint, and supplies.
Only the front of the large Bryson Boulder may be painted. Please do not paint the small boulders.
Please be careful to not damage the surrounding area, and pick up all trash after painting.
The best paint to use for the background is spray paint. You will probably need 2 cans for a good base coat and additional paint for your design. The quantity needed will depend upon the color you are using, the color already painted on the rock, weather conditions, etc. Remember, latex paint or paint that is rolled on may take longer to dry. You may purchase additional days to allow more time to paint.
Images and wording must be in good taste! Bryson Elementary School and the Bryson PTA have the right to remove any painting deemed inappropriate by school administration without notice.
The Bryson Elementary Boulder runs on the Honor Code, with the hopes that everyone will respect these guidelines.
All money raised from the Bryson Boulder will go toward supporting various PTA programs at Bryson Elementary.
